Our role

Diaspora Directory (DD) operates as an independent professional matching, referral, and introduction platform. DD’s role is limited to receiving customer requests, reviewing stated requirements, identifying and matching customers with independent third-party consultants or service providers, and facilitating introductions.

DD does not provide professional services or professional advice

DD is not a law firm, financial advisory firm, healthcare provider, medical practice, technology consultancy, engineering firm, or other licensed professional services organization. DD does not independently provide, perform, supervise, or assume responsibility for the professional advice, opinions, recommendations, services, or work products delivered by third-party consultants or service providers.

All consultants and service providers introduced through DD operate as independent third parties and are solely responsible for their professional services, advice, qualifications, licensing, regulatory compliance, contractual obligations, and work performed.

While DD may conduct reasonable verification of provider information and credentials, where applicable, such verification does not constitute a guarantee of professional competence, service quality, accuracy of advice, suitability, performance, or outcomes.

Customer responsibility and independent engagement

Customers are responsible for independently evaluating the qualifications, experience, licensing, suitability, and terms of engagement of any consultant or service provider before proceeding. Any professional engagement, agreement, payment for professional services, or ongoing working relationship is between the customer and the selected independent consultant or service provider, unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement.

Limitation of responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DD shall not be responsible or liable for professional advice, recommendations, decisions, representations, omissions, errors, negligence, misconduct, contractual disputes, financial losses, damages, or outcomes arising from services provided by independent consultants or service providers introduced through the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Consultancy and matching fees

Any fee paid to DD covers its administrative, consultancy coordination, professional matching, and introduction services only. It does not constitute payment for professional advice or services provided by the independent consultant or service provider. Separate professional fees may apply and should be agreed directly with the selected provider.

Problems with an introduction

If a paid introduction has a problem, raise an issue on your request page or contact DD with your reference. DD will review the case and contact you with the next steps. Refunds are not automatic.

Acceptance

By submitting a request, proceeding with a professional introduction, or making payment for DD’s matching service, the customer acknowledges and accepts these terms.
